A family friend had a wedding emergancy but SNS Photography was there to help, we booked a last minute destination wedding in St. Pete !
The wedding venue was The Postcard Inn On The Beach , the hotel had a retro surf theme ! The inside had concrete floors, very open floor plan with unique decor including sewing machine sinks in the lobby bathrooms and a huge bookcase wall ! We got to explore a bit and check in our room before I started working and let me just say the hotel is BEAUTIFUL ! There are many wedding options for this venue , the ceremony site our bride chose was right on the white sandy beaches but you can also choose a palm tree lined garden. For the reception they have 6 different locations , all sounded amazing but our bride chose the Tiki Pavilion which was right off the beach with lights strung everywhere .
I started taking pictures in one of the rooms with the bride and her friends . We had a fun few hours as I photographed the bride and bridesmaids getting their hair and makeup done . I really suggest hiring a photographer for this part, not just because I am one but because you get some wonderful memories to look back on , some of my favorites are the final hair and the girls having fun ! Our bride wanted to get the family photos out of the way before the wedding , so we gathered all of the family guests in the Garden courtyard and took all of the pictures to leave more time for sunset bridal party . I actually enjoyed doing it this way , for those brides who dont mind hthe guests seeing her before hand and if there is a seperate area so the groom doesnt see. It really helped move things along so everyone could enjoy the night !
The ceremony itself was just perfect ! Guests enjoyed watching the bride walk down the aisle at sunset , the decor was simple and to the point without taking away from the beauty of the beach and bride ! ( One of the best parts of a beach wedding is I got to work barefoot LOL)
If you hire me as a photographer , I like to focus on the grooms first look at his bride . It is a moment you as a bride always want to remember, and the guests get a million photos of you going down the asile anyways . It is my main goal of the ceremony to capture this look and at this wedding that definatly happened !
We did portraits near the water and then enjoyed a wonderful dinner , it was a buffet style dinner under the string lights . Very delicious pasta catering by the hotel and I am pretty sure they have other dinners to chose from also !
All in all, this wedding was just PERFECT ! The wether held up , the guests were fun , the dinner was delicious , the bride and groom totally in love ! This wedding i s the wedding that made me fall in love with wedding photography & beach weddings !
